I often leave the hotel TV on while doing other things. A few hotels had one or two English-language channels, but most places, it's all French. So it's just background sound. Plus, maybe I'll pick up a bit of French through osmosis.
One time while not paying much attention, I heard a familiar jingle, but with different words. The next time I heard it I was able to see the logo on the screen to see what was happening. It was the same tune as the Safelite ads -- 🎵 Safelite repair, Safelite replace🎵 -- but it wasn't for Safelite. It was for a company called Carglass. 🎵 Carglass repair, Carglass replace🎵.
Apparently both Safelite and Carglass are part of Belron. And they use the same jingle in dozens of countries. And I'm not the first to be fascinated by this. Some guy compiled 39 of them in this short YouTube video.
